Tuesday, the landscaping company never even called the labor pool, and I had ridden through the rain that morning, just so I could sit and drink the labor pool coffee and watch the news (and weather) on the labor pool TV.
Other companies that worked outdoors cancelled their jobs, too, and that was one bunch of unhappy niggas, walking out of there and getting back on the van for a ride back downtown, where they would eat for free at the missions, and then try again the next day.
